Comfortable Spaces
Every resident at Legacy Care Home has a private unit in a comfortable, accessible home environment, with wall-to-wall carpeting or wood flooring, window blinds, and a private or semi-private bathroom. Residents have access to and use of all common areas, including kitchens, dining rooms, living room, porches, and decks.

Healthy, Home-Cooked Meals
We create customized meal plans to suit each resident’s individual needs, featuring three wholesome, home-prepared meals daily, plus snacks. From the moment a resident joins us, we work closely with each individual and their family to understand their dietary preferences, restrictions, and special needs. Our goal is to ensure that every meal is both comforting and nutritious — from favorite traditional recipes to special diets, including diabetic-friendly, gluten-free, high-fiber, low-sodium, vegetarian, vegan, or thickened liquid diets.
Housekeeping
All residents receive housekeeping and laundry services, including regularly-scheduled cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and all common areas. We strive to ensure that every space feels fresh and welcoming — like a home, not a facility. Personal laundry and linen service is also included, and our team is diligent about treating our residents’ personal items and spaces with the same care and attention they would with their own.

Utilities
All utilities — iincluding heat, central air conditioning, electricity, internet, water, sewage, garbage/waste removal, and basic cable television —are included for all residents.
Outlets for cable or satellite tv are also provided.
Transportation
Legacy Care Home has a handicap accessible van for transporting residents to and from appointments, outings, and other off-site activities.
Assistance with transportation through insurance.
Recreation & Social
We offer a wide range of recreational, wellness, spiritual, and social activities, as well as opportunities to participate in community events. Residents enjoy visits and performances from vocalists, instrumental musicians, magicians, and other entertainers, along with special experiences like boat rides, therapy animal visits, and craft workshops. Our staff provides engaging daily activities, thoughtfully tailored to each resident’s interests, abilities, and individual needs. Social Services resource and referral coordination is available as needed.

You Have Questions, We Have Answers.
Each of our homes has between 6 and 8 residents. With double staffing during waking hours, we have staff ratios of 3 or 4 to 1, which is one of the lowest in the industry. This allows for higher level of care and attention for our residents. Both residents and staff enjoy a more personalized approach to care than larger facilities provide, where there is pressure to see 12-18 residents per staff in many cases.
Yes, Legacy specializes in dementia and memeory care. While we can accomodate all levels of care through end of life, we have staff trained in memory care and dementia patients and have come to specialize in this area.
Legacy has three locations in Minnetonka, one in Golden Valley, and one in Watkins Minnesota. All are beautiful residential homes in nice, peaceful neighborhoods.
All of the bedrooms at Legacy are private with private or semi private bathrooms.
Yes, LPNs & RNs visit all locations daily with a 24/7 RN on call.
Yes! We encourage visits and family interaction as much as safely possible. We even offer private meeting areas for families and encourage time with loved ones.
