Legacy Care Home is different from many other senior care providers in the Minneapolis St. Paul metro. We're a family-style living home, not a large facility. Our homes were built specifically for accessible, safe levels of care for all who live with us. Our Resident-to-Staff ratio is among the best in the industry, often up to five times better than other senior living facilities. We provide a higher level of care in a much more personalized setting.

Welcome to Legacy
Our family stories created the foundation.
The Carlson, Ranta, And Paulson families inspired the establishment of Legacy Care Home in 2007. The home style of care, along with the name, was their collective way of paying tribute to their loved ones who endured debilitating illnesses like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.
They understood and experienced first hand the challenges that come with caring for loved ones and their varying level of care needs.
New ownership renewed the mission.
In 2020, Catalina (Cat) Hemp, R.N., and her father Jason Hemp purchased Legacy Care Home. As a family duo themselves, they take pride in carrying on the traditions and values instilled before them. They’ve owned businesses together since 2015.

We live our mission by providing housing, personalized assistance, exceptional care, and a secure environment to help seniors maintain a dignified quality of life. Our goal is to provide individualized services that enable seniors to age peacefully and as healthily as possible in our homes.
